I came from a family of body-imbalanced people. Everyone in my family (biological and step-related) is body imbalanced. I’m the only one who didn’t succumb to the phenomenon.

Why is that?

I observed that I wanted a different outcome for my life.

So, what did I do?

I learned, adhered to, and transformed my life by incorporating simple, but life-altering steps that I adopted as lifestyle habits.

In a few minutes, I’m going to share with you my secrets to body balance.

Spoiler Alert: Body Balance means that you can stop starving yourself and exhausting yourself with back-breaking exercise!

What is Body Balance?

First, know this — It is important to achieve balance in all things…this is a cardinal law of successful living.

Achieving balance is a life-long goal. If you haven’t achieved balance in all areas of your life, then don’t worry…because no one does. We are all constantly striving to achieve balance.

According to the third law of thermodynamics, life’s inclination is toward chaos. Chaos is why we all have to keep working diligently to achieve our goal of ‘balance’.

What is Body Balance?

Body balance is achieving balance in our body, so that our body functions optimally for us.

Our body is our machine, like a forklift, or that really cool robotic suit from the movie, “Iron Man”. Of course, our body is organic material, and we can’t remove it, which is why it is exponentially important that it functions optimally.

Achieving a balanced body composition is important for many reasons that go beyond just how we look.

First, striving for a balanced body can:

Second, body balance can boost our metabolic ability. Metabolic efficiency makes it easier to effectively use the energy from the food we enjoy.

Third, a balanced body composition leads to greater energy levels and improved stamina. Exuberant energy makes everyday tasks feel more manageable and enjoyable, which positively impacts our quality of life.

A balanced body nurtures our mental health, enhancing self-esteem and body image, and fostering a gentle sense of well-being.

Now that we know the benefits of a balanced body, where do we start the journey of a balanced body?

Your ‘Body Balance’ Plan

The plan is simple. The execution is rigorous.

Hormone Balancing

As stated by Cleveland Clinic, hormone balance is crucial for metabolism, as it:

When hormones are balanced, your metabolism works properly. This helps you keep a healthy weight that supports your body’s essential functions.

Bottom Line? Body Imbalance is the direct result of hormone imbalance. FYA: hormonal imbalance can happen (and is happening) at any age.

Heavy Metal Detoxification

It’s important to detoxify heavy metals from your body. Toxic metals accumulate over time and lead to serious health issues such as excess adiposity, autoimmune disorders, heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer.

Exposure to heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and cadmium is unavoidable due to environmental pollution, contaminated food sources, and various industrial processes. From birth, toxic metal exposure disrupts normal bodily functions, leading to symptoms like fatigue, cognitive decline, and even more severe symptoms.

Holistic Detox

Over time, the aforementioned chemicals and metals will cause organ system failure. When the human body is overloaded with toxins, then the liver and kidneys also become overloaded, and then these organs suffer until they stop working, and when organs suffer, you suffer. One of the first signs that organ systems are malfunctioning is an imbalanced body composition.

Adopting a detoxification regimen that includes a balanced plant-based diet rich in antioxidants, staying hydrated, and utilizing specific detoxifying foods and supplements can significantly help in cleansing your organ systems (e.g. liver, kidneys, gut, thyroid). Regular detoxification ensures that your body’s systems function optimally, promoting well-being and vitality.

Physical Activity

Physical activity helps lymphatic drainage, which is an important part of the detoxification process. By promoting the circulation of lymph fluid throughout the body, exercise aids in the removal of toxins and waste products from tissues.

Movement, such as the kind that involves exercise, is the motor that encourages the contraction of lymph vessels, further facilitating lymph flow, which is a vital part of the immune system. Within the lymph fluid are lymphocytes, which are the white blood cells that effectively identify and combat pathogens.

Exercise not only supports detoxification but it also plays a vital role in reducing inflammation and enhancing energy levels, making physical activity a key component of a holistic approach to body balance. Embracing a variety of exercises, from aerobic activities to strength training, can provide significant benefits that extend beyond just lymphatic function, fostering a balanced and resilient body.

Nourishing Food Choices

Nourishing food choices is a key contributor to achieving body balance, as what we consume directly impacts our overall health, energy levels, and emotional well-being. By selecting whole, unprocessed foods rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, we can support our body’s natural functions and promote optimal health.

Incorporating a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins not only enhances our physical vitality but also fosters a clearer mind and a more positive outlook on life.

Making informed dietary decisions enables us to maintain our ideal weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and ultimately creates a harmonious relationship between our body and mind.

Mindset Reframing

Changing your mindset regarding your body, diet, and especially the ‘status quo’ habits is essential for achieving body balance, as a positive and curious perspective will lead to creating a foundation for nurturing your physical and mental health.

This essential mental transformation involves recognizing long-standing beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you and allowing yourself to explore new and beneficial practices that support your journey towards a balanced lifestyle. Ultimately, making these changes not only enhances your relationship with food and your body, but it also empowers you to thrive in every aspect of your daily life.

Learning from the Mistakes of Others

Since age 18, I’ve been studying nutrition. However, it is this time in my life that I can look back and see the path that led to a family tree filled with body imbalance. Why? Cultural Indoctrination. My family and its community indoctrinated itself via social acceptance.

Do You Make These Cardinal Mistakes?

Bromide Bread – Bromide is in most store-bought breads. Bromide is a thyroid disruptor. When your thyroid isn’t working, then your metabolism becomes diseased, and the result is obesity, lethargy, and a malfunctioning immune system. If you want a bromide-free bread, then try Ezekiel 4:9 bread.

Fatty Meats – a little fatty meat, every now and then is okay. Lots of pork, ham, marbled beef, and fried chicken…is not. Instead, opt for lean meats and vegan-protein options.

Nutrient-depleted foods – boiled vegetables loaded with margarine, straight out of a can, or cooked to death; white potatoes, no complex carbohydrates, iceberg lettuce, white flour pasta, and no cruciferous vegetables (so very little nutrition there) equals body imbalance disaster.

Unhealthy Fats – bacon grease and seed oils are used in most of their cooked vegetables, so lots of fat in everything.

The Healthy Alternative: healthy fats like avocado, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil are good, so spoil yourself with these oils.

Serving Size – the average human eats enough food for 2-3 people (daily), and this is the case with my family. Eating too much food stretches the stomach, which means that the body feels like it needs to eat more food to be satiated, but then the body can’t burn the excess calories, so then the excess is stored.

Bottom Line?

To ensure that you enjoy optimized health for decades to come, embrace a hormone balancing journey combined with a heavy metal detox, routine holistic detox, regular physical activity, and nourishing food choices.

Bonus: when you embrace the holistic health journey you can pass your wisdom to those you love!

Body Balance is a life choice. The power of change is within your grasp, because ‘choice’ is already in your hands.
