Some time ago, I met a woman who told me she was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders. She communicated to me that she hoped I could help her, and so we met for a consultation.
Immediately, I observed her illness. Why? Because physical symptoms speak volumes.
During our conversation, she revealed additional chronic symptoms.
What were the woman’s symptoms?
- Thinning hair
- Cranial – located bald spots
- Extreme collagen depletion resulting in a drooping, “skin melt” quality
- Partial facial palsy
- Chronic fatigue
- Brain fog
- Stubborn weight gain
- Dry mouth/dry eyes
- Depression
- Rapid aging
During our conversation, the woman stated that she had breast implants.
She stated she was diagnosed with Lichen Planopilaris and Sjogren’s Syndrome, which are both listed as autoimmune disorders.
The Mayo Clinic describes Sjogren’s syndrome:
“Sjogren’s (SHOW-grins) syndrome is a disorder of your immune system identified by its two most common symptoms — dry eyes and a dry mouth.
The condition often accompanies other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. In Sjogren’s syndrome, the mucous membranes and moisture-secreting glands of your eyes and mouth are usually affected first — resulting in decreased tears and saliva.” (mayoclinic.org)
These symptoms do not magically appear for no practical reason. These symptoms are the direct result of chemical toxicity in the human body; however, because most affected humans don’t seek to identify the root cause and most doctors hide from the root cause, then both the client and the doctor rely on the ‘magic unicorn’ labels (provided by the medical-science community) that allow for only symptoms to be treated instead of eradicating the primary illness.
In this case, the woman was given pharmaceutical drugs to treat the symptoms of baldness and dry mouth. Also, she stated that the drugs didn’t work, although she admitted that she continued to take the drugs.
What were my naturopathic solutions?
- Whole Body Detox
- Nutritional Deficiency correction
- Breast Implant Removal
To all proffered naturopathic solutions, the woman rejected consideration.
Why did the woman reject nutrition-based, naturopathic therapy solutions?
The woman didn’t want to change her lifestyle. She didn’t want to put forth the effort to heal. The woman just wanted a ‘magic bullet’ solution, and this is what the medical doctor provided. The pharmaceutical drugs didn’t work, but taking the pharmaceutical drugs helped the woman “feel” as if she were doing something to help herself, so the drugs helped reduce her mental distress, which is called “placebo affect”. It didn’t matter to her that her health continued to deteriorate. It didn’t matter that the drugs were the equivalent of telling a lie. To the woman, it just mattered that she was able to continue her lifestyle unimpeded by change. Using the drugs, she could throw her hands up and say, “I tried!” Last, the woman mentioned that she didn’t care if she died…so there is also that reality.
About Reality
I am a proponent of choice. It is no health professional’s responsibility to drag a person to wellness. Also, it is no family member’s or friend’s responsibility to drag a person to wellness. Therefore, to the ‘burdened enablers’ I say, “I release you all from the burden of feeling like you need to save someone who is in the orbit of your social circle.” Why? Everyone has a choice. Everyone is personally responsible to care (or not care) about themselves. You cannot make that choice for them.
To the point, until you change your mindset, you can’t improve your life.
Speaking of choices and growth mindsets, one of my favorite authors is Karen Marie Moning who writes the Fever book series.
In 2021, Moning posted about her breast implant illness and her decision to have her breast implants removed. Moning stated that one week after her breast implant removal that she was feeling better.
In her post, Moning states, “For over a decade, doctors blamed everything but those ‘perfectly safe’ implants (made of silicone, 40+ toxic chemicals, hormone and endocrine disruptors).” Moning goes on to say that her thyroid was healing and she mentioned a Lupus diagnosis, which if you remember, the Mayo Clinic described Lupus as a companion of Sjögren’s Syndrome. (However, what the medical community doesn’t admit is the root cause, which is chemical toxicity.)

Conclusion
What is the root cause of your illness? Have you yet stopped to consider root cause analysis? Or are you still dwelling on symptoms? What changes are you willing to make to help yourself? Do you want to barely survive? Or do you want to thrive?
